Trainer Mike Miller sends out Abaddon in Race 1 and he should give punters a good start to the day. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over this distance on the turf. He lost a length leaving the start, but the way he ran on at the business end was encouraging.

It must be noted that Thisiswhatitmeans has come out and won again since. The son of Flying The Flag would have gained from the experience and he should take a power of beating.

Givers Grace from the Carl Hewitson stable takes her place in Race 5 and she represents good each way value. She ran a decent race when having to overcome a wide draw over 1800m on the turf last time. The way she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging.

The daughter of Hat Puntano will love the rise to 2000m and with just 53kgs on her back, she can notch up her second career victory.
