A Full Day For Mxothwa

The first race at Fairview is off at 12h30

Eight races are carded on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon. Luyolo Mxothwa has a full book of rides with a couple of decent winning chances and he may be the jockey worth following. The first is due off at 12h30.

Sharon Kotzen saddles Suryavarman in the first race and he should give punters a good start to the day. He made the expected natural improvement when finishing second over 1200m on this course.

He showed good pace, but was outrun late by Absolu Noir. The son of Querari is progressive and will love the extra furlong on offer. He has the speed to overcome his awkward draw of eight and can go one better.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Kumaran Naidoo sends out Seattle Beat in Race 6. He is better than his last start on the polytrack. He finished 1.5 lengths behind Bold Strike in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. His last victory came under Francois Herholdt and if putting his best foot forward, he may be the one to beat.
