From Zambia in the sixties to some great SA memories

Former trainer Cliffie Otto gave up racing 20 years ago and moved to the South Coast where he opened a bakery.

The man who started out in Zambia in the 1960’s reminisces about the early days with the Rixons and Ronnie Sheehan, and chats to James Goodman on the Winning Ways show in a lovely trip down memory lane.

“One thing – you can leave the horses, but they never leave you. And after running a bakery, I realised that training horses wasn’t as tough as I thought it was!”
